World Water Day 2010

by admin on February 9, 2010

I bet you didn’t know there was a World Water Day. It happens March 22.

In 1992, the United Nations General Assembly declared March 22nd of each year World Water Day. The resolution grew out of the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment and Development in Rio de Janeiro, and nations are invited to celebrate the day each year by implementing UN recommendations and hosting activities that relate to fresh water resources. This year’s theme is “Communicating Water Quality Challenges and Opportunities.”
It is still a reality that an estimated 1.1 billion people rely on unsafe drinking-water sources. The theme of World Water Day 2010 focuses raising awareness of water quality.
The new items we are working on for our Water Category will be focusing on Water Quality as well. Here’s one example of a poster:

Water Quality Poster
Standard posters are 12″ x 18″, but we can convert to any size you need. Banner material with grommets also available.
Create a theme for your Water Quality program and use the same design on different products. For example, this poster can be made into a magnet, mousepad, coffee mug, and many more products. We’d be happy to help you get started.
